Welcome to our website. We are located in SpringHill, KS. Like most club lamb flocks, ours is a 4-H project gone wild. We now run about 35 black face ewes and 10 registered Dorsets. Out genetic stem from elite breeders including Johnson (OK), Glasscock, Ott, Impact, Miller, Mein, Schmillen, Schminke, Star Dust, Hewlett, and Berry. In 2005 we decided to purchase two ewes so our daughter, Taylor, could experience what it was like to raise an animal from birth. We purchased two ewe lambs from Bill Mein genetics. Then in 2007 we purchased a ewe from Kyle & Jill Schmillen that had established a large part of our ewe base. She is a Foresight x Xbox. This ewe has delivered only 3 ram lambs and several ewes. We have retained all but 1 of those ewe lambs. Every lamb out of this ewe have turned out to be very good, but the lambs out of her daughters have been turning out to be exceptional. So far there have been several class winners and a Res. Supreme Breeding Ewe at the Kansas State Fair. The remainder of the flock is made of ewes from various breeders that Taylor purchased as show ewes. In 2012 we purchased a ram from Hays Brothers that really changed the dynamics of our flock. He was a Yoyo x Recoil. Most of you will recognize his 3/4 brother, Gameface. We called this buck Intimidator. It's his daughters that have given us our most pride. We retained a large part of these ladies to breed to our new ram, Renegade that we partnered with Hobbs Show Lambs. Renegade is a General x Heist son. In 2009 Taylor wished to diversify and delve into the Dorset breed. She purchased a Grand Cayman daughter from Hewlett Club Lambs. This ewe has produced several high quality lambs for us. In 2012 her twin weathers were both in the top four of the speckle division at the KJLS (Kansas Jr. Livestock Show) with one being Champion. That lamb was also Champion Speckle at the Kansas St. Fair. Since then we have added more dorset ewes from both Hewlett's and Star Dust Sheep Farm with all of them producing quality offspring. In 2014 we raised a ram out of Dangerous Game. We call him Risky Business. Currently there are several lambs out of him and all appear to be excellent quality. We take pride in not only raising competitive show wethers, but also raising ewes that can compete in the show ring and still be good moms and produce high quality lambs. We also firmly believe in the importance of showmanship and all of the hard work that goes into raising and showing lambs. We have always been more than willing to help kids learn more about their project wether they buy their lambs from us or not. Rex, Shelly, and Taylor Harrison
